Benjamin Widmyer Helps Offer Free Income Tax Assistance

Benjamin Widmyer of Hugo, MN was one of 13 University of Wisconsin-River Falls accounting students who provided local community residents with free assistance preparing tax returns. Residents with annual incomes of less than $25,000 could take advantage of free assistance provided by the UWRF College of Business and Economics' Student Accounting Society during February and March. The students were overseen by adjunct Professor Steve DeWald, who teaches a federal taxation class and is the director of the UWRF Small Business Development Center.
